Here's a local secret -Vanessie proudly hosts the Apprentices of the renowned Santa Fe Opera on Sunday nights (and sometimes Monday as well) during the Opera Season. Many of the Opera's international stars also drop in for one-of-a-kind performances that can really bring down the house. Sunday nights are almost always sold out, so get here early!

Doug Montgomery
The legendary piano virtuoso and showman entertains 3-4 nights a week from June through January.
If you've been to Vanessie when Doug is performing - the only real question is "how often did you come back for more?" If you haven't seen Doug's show... you are in for a treat. Doug is that rare combination of brilliant technique, showmanship and graciousness. He's truly a legend in Santa Fe, having performed at Vanessie since we opened our doors back in the early 1980's.
A native Chicagoan, Doug received his Master's from the Juilliard School where he was awarded the Joseph Lhevinne scholarship in piano. He then attracted national attention as the top prize winner of the Robert Casadesus Piano Competition. As an active solo performer, he has given hundreds of recitals and continues to perform with orchestras across the nation. The Dalton Gang Rides Again. Live jazz with the Bert Dalton Trio and a wide array of sensational guest vocalists and session players every Thursday in November.
